Set in the town of Quepos, Katia's is in the residential area surrounded by family and long time friends. With a small amount of Spanish you can manouver around the neighbourhood and practise your new spanish language skills. With breakfast and dinner provided, it is a good time to learn Costa Rican cooking, be part of the family and learn more spanish while helping around the house.

Many of these students return year after year to either improve their Spanish language skills or to just come visit their "Costa Rican family."

Katia is able to offer a program that fits you, your schedule and your Spanish language level. Her program includes a private apartment with small kitchen, bathroom with hot water, a/c, wifi, laundry, breakfast & supper then the amount of Spanish lessons can be added to your specifications.

As part of the family, your stay can also include some local tours, family get togethers and transportation to and from the airport if needed. Come to a quiet, family setting to learn spanish and fall in love with the culture and the people.

A one day and night which includes a private room with bathroom with hot water, kitchen, bed with a/c and wifi and would include breakfast and supper for $40 per person. A price will be given based on the number of nights and amount of Spanish lessons required and a discount will be given on that number.

Spanish lessons can vary as well. For the beginner it is recommended to do 1-3 hours per day for 4-5 days per week. With Spanish spoken in the home and around the community, you can practise what you have learnt. Spanish classes start at $20 an hour and the teacher will come to you at the house. This is based on private lessons so can vary with two or more people.

You can stay at the home one day, one week, one month or longer and with lots of options so the prices will be worked out to give you the best price available.

homestaysQuepos is a small town located along the Pacific Ocean approximately two hours from the San Juan airport. Quepos has all the amenities such as pharmacies, grocery stores, shopping, restaurants, local sodas, bus station, bars, casions and marina, discos just to name a few. Just fifteen minutes on the bus and approximately sixty cents there is Manuel Antonio where you will find restaurants, hotels/villas/houses for rent, gift shops, more night life, public beach and Manuel Antonio National Park.

The Quepos/Manuel Antonio area of Costa Rica offers all the tours and adventures that you might want to try. There are canopy tours, white water rafting tours, ATV tours, farm tours which include coffee or vanilla/chocolate/spices, fishing, catamaran tours and jet ski tour. You could also learn how to surf, rent a paddle board or take dance lessons or how about parachute over the jungle of Costa Rica. These are just a few of the activities that are available in this area or a drive in any directions can open the door to many more.
